PRODUCTS

The chassis is the foundation of an ATE

system. We design and manufacture a

wide range of test instrumentation chas-

sis for both VXI and PXI platforms.

VXI chassis may include linear power

supplies as well as adaptors for specia-

lised applications; some are portable,

while others are more suited for rack

mounting.

Our agship product is the 1261B

high-performance VXI chassis, which

is considered the standard for most mili-

tary ATE systems.

The 1261B benets from our years of

experience as a leading VXI mainframe

manufacturer evident in our Racal Inst-

ruments™ brand.

It delivers maximum performance and

reliability at a competitive price.

All 1261B chassis include full-power

protection features such as

overvoltage and overcurrent protection

and also incorporate a quick-check dia-

gnostic connector to verify performance

of power supply voltages, currents and

specic VXI signals.

Wide range of high performance GPIB,

VXI, PXI, LXI and Ethernet-controlled

switching systems.

The modular Adapt-a-Switch® platform

delivers unprecedented density and

exibility in a two-slot C-size VXI mo-

dule. The Adapt-a-Switch plug-ins can

be used in VXI, PXI and rack-and-stack

environments and are suited for wide

range of switching applications - from

DC to microwave as well as for voltages

up to 1 kV.

Additional switching systems are availa-

ble for operational applications

including custom microwave networks

for satellite ground stations and com-

munications switching. We produce also

highly demanding microwave switching

systems that support military commu-

nications networks in submarine and

tactical applications.

The newest member of the switch sys-

tem family is the RACAL Instruments™

1830, an LXI source/measure switch. At

the core of the 1830 is the multi-lane Si-

gnal Raceway which simplies cabling,

preserves signal integrity, and enables

tight integration between switching and

test instruments.

Connections to internal instruments,

matrix expansion and multiplexer

expansion are all provided internally

along the raceway without the need for

external wiring or loopbacks that are

common in PXI or VXI systems.
